Fairlawn Avenue Bridge over Passaic River
Project Owner: County of Passaic
Project Client: Anselmi & DeCicco, Inc.
Project Cost: less than $1 million
Project Duration: 3 months
There was difficulty in the setup area for the crane, leads, and material deliveries due to tight access. The work area was also adjacent to Route 20, a high-volume traffic area on the west and the Passaic River on the east.
Simpson and Brown installed cofferdam steel sheeting, wales, and braces using a hydraulic truck crane and vibratory hammer. They also drove 51ea HP 14×89 plumb piles and 42ea HP 14×117 battered piles in the West Abutment using a hydraulic truck crane and Vulcan 506 air hammer in hanging leads.
